I really got Adam tonight. He sounded great with both KISS & Queen. Brian May needs to drop Paul Rogers, make a record with Adam & go on tour. Adam would be great singing all of Freddy's songs. Kris was great too. I liked his song with Keith Urban.

How pissed are Megan & Sarver that they sang with Steve Martin & a banjo. I so wanted Steve to break into King Tut half way through.

Queen Latifa should kill/fire the person who dressed her. Surprised Rod Steward didn't break a hip.

My biggest problem with last night was the bikini girl incident. It wasn't funny & extremely mean spirited. I'm with Jeff that bikini girl is unattractive & not at all foxy, but to use her for Kara to validate herself wasn't fair. I'm about to go on a 'Leave Brittney alone tirade' so I'll stop.

As an aside, if Kara's such a great singer & songwriter, why isn't she selling her own records. She's not ugly or fat, so why isn't she famous? No sadness here if she's not back next year. I'd like to see a rotating guest judge next year...

I am relieved that Kwak won. I think if Adam won he would've put out a record that AI wanted him too and now he has more creative liberty. I was really concerned I was going to watch Rod Stewert die last night...he tripped like 1238208 times. I hated every performance except for Kiss and Queen. Keith Urban always wheres short sleeve shirts that are too short sleeved. It's an irritant.
Ryan needs to always wear the Nick Gentle ensemble. Always.

@Aryl - yeah it was a little mean spirited. Unless Bikini Girl knew it was coming (which is totally plausible, since it seemed like she, Norman, and Tatiana all knew what was going on).

@Jillie - it will be interesting to see where Adam will go from here. I actually think that his career may have a more dynamic future than Kwaks (just because Kris is more like the norm). I also thought Ryan was amazing in the Norman Gentle outfit.

@Tommy - totally right. That was a live blogging error. I typed "So What" in my head even though my fingers went with "Rock Star." Nice catch.

Could someone explain Gene Simmons to me?? No better yet, don't...just someone make him go away, PLEASE. Ugh he makes me vomit in my mouth a little (ok, a lot).
Loved that Kris won - Adam will be better not winning and Idol definitely threw it in his direction. guess that quiets the folks who say Idol is rigged.
Jeff, now that Idol is over and you'll have so much free time, why not tackle SYTYCD, you know you watch it. (well your wife does, so by default you do).

@Melanie and Jillie: SYTYCD eh? Makes me nervous to tackle another TV show. Ultimately, Luis is the boss. We'll see what he says. :)

Wahoo! I wanted Kris with a K to win since day one and then he did! That never happens. I might've jumped up and down when they announced Kris' name. I thought Simon's reaction was lame and rude. He didn't stand up and he looked genuinely pissed. It made me so happy that America decided and not Simon Cowell and the rest of the AI crew. Some woman wrote an article for an LA newspaper that said this season of Idol felt like the Adam Lambert show with the other contestants as guests on his show. I couldn't agree more and think that was unfair of Idol to push Lambert on us so much. However, at the same time I am not denying Adam's incredible talent, nor is it his fault that AI pubbed him so much. Anyway, in the end he'll have a great career and I'm just so happy KWAK won. I heart you Kris with a K!!!

PS to Aryl: Bikini girl knew exactly what was going on and yet she still obviously agreed to be a part of the whole thing. She's gross and desperately wanted her 10 seconds in the spotlight. I don't feel bad for her one bit.

PMA - The more I think about your Twitter comment about how it was good for Adam to NOT win, the more it makes sense. But we always want our favourites to win don't we? I know you love Kris and all, but I'm sorry - his version of "No Boundaries" was shiteous. I cringed through the whole thing. The fact that he screwed up the winners song, should have been enough. American voted for him cuz he was cute, not because he can sing his face off. Arrrgh. I still love you PMA - your commentary on the whole thing kept me highly entertained on the train ride to work every day in London.

I'm so glad Kris won. I can't stand Adam.
But my number one choice of winner would have been Tatiana Del Toro!
She is hilarious and whether you like her or not, you have to admit she is VERY entertaining! I hope they give the girl a VH1 reality show.

I'm so late on this finale but I gotta say I like them both. I'm glad Kris won to stick it to AI and their slanting. I hate bikini girl. I LOVED "we are the champions" performance and thought Adam was amazing during that and w/ Kiss. The show was so biased towards him... which made it so great that AMERICA chose Kris. I agree, both guys were so gracious, which was great to see. Both will be successful. All is well.
