    My Picks for 2002
    Yankee Hotel Foxtrot-Wilco
    The Eminem Show-Eminem
    A Rush of Blood to the Head-Coldplay
    Home-Dixie Chicks
    Under Construction-Missy Elliott
    I looked through the albums of 2002 finding many indie artists released albums that year, rilo kiley and spoon for example, but that those albums don't compare with what they will do in the years following 2002.

    I have to say, as a newspaper editor, your first bullet is lol. I think that at someone daily.

    @Sleepyhead: Pre-war Dixie Chicks ftw!

    Both albums are as epic as can be. Two classics for 2001, not bad at all. Great write ups.

    Discovery/Is This It? aren't the best, but definitely one of 50 albums, that i'd die for. :)

    In my opinion, Is This It? is definitely good, but it's not better than their second album, Room on Fire. I doubt you guys will pick the Strokes again, so I'm sort of bummed that it happened with Is This It?. But the articles are great.

    I think PMA is looking back over the last 10 years and picking albums whose effects on the industry/music in general are still being felt today. Room on Fire may or may not be better, but Is This It is definitely more important.

    It's funny, listening to the Strokes now (Is This It), it makes the Arctic Monkeys sound like a cover band, instrumentation-wise.

    2002 belongs to Wilco.
